We have been around for a while and have been working for great customers for over 60 years. We carry out both single and multidisciplinary projects for them. Our success? Naturally, our technical knowledge and customers appreciate our flexible and pragmatic approach. But at the top of our list of success factors are of course our employees.

The warm bath of a family business

Vicoma is a family business founded in 1962 by Paul Visser, an entrepreneur through and through. Today, Muriel Visser is the owner of Vicoma, daughter of Paul and Ida Visser, and she is committed to a future-proof family business. We offer a dynamic working environment in which employees take center stage. With a rich history and strong values, we welcome talented professionals who want to contribute to our technical successes and continued growth.

The history of our family business

From 1962 to now, a beautiful journey in which we have seen the world of engineering change.

Vicoma was founded in 1962 by Paul Visser and started from two Rozenburg houses

The foundation stone of our current office in Rotterdam is being laid. In the years that followed, the office continued to expand.
1984

Developments follow each other. The HP Pen plotter will be purchased this year. Making an A0 plot took an hour. At least, when the ink pens didn't fail.

We are opening a branch in Groningen. A number of moves will follow later and we will eventually move into an office next to the Euroborg.
Early 90's
Early 90’s
The image on the work floor changed. Computer Aided Design, or CAD, is only now really making its debut. This means that the drawing boards are gradually disappearing.

We are taking over Educo and adding a nice group of calculators and engineers. From now on we also have a branch in Velsen-Noord.

After several moves in the Veghel area, where we have been active since 1977, we moved into an office in Sint-Oedenrode. The office along the A50 where we are still housed today.

We are taking over part of Advin and welcome our new colleagues. With this acquisition we are adding a new discipline, Architecture & Construction, to our services.

Vicoma Chennai was established in January 2022. Our colleagues will work from home for the first few months and the office was officially opened on June 13.

This year we are celebrating our 60th anniversary, a great moment to look back on what we have achieved and look ahead to the future!
