As an Engineer in the Production Lines & Machine Construction department at Vicoma, you focus on optimizing machines, increasing production capacity or (re)designing a factory. You rely on your experience and that of your colleagues, no matter how complex the customer’s question is.
Production lines & Machine Construction at Vicoma
The Production Lines & Machine Construction Engineers are involved in much more. For example, consider layout engineering, buffer distances, walking routes and food safety. But also strength calculations of machines (FEM), air and fluid flows (CFD) or checking machines in the field of machine guidelines and CE. You design this in a 3D model and position the machines, conveyor belts, pipes and platforms. You do this in such a way that there is an accessible product flow for both goods and staff. To properly visualize the existing situation, we can also make a 3D scan of the current equipment. Another possible part of your work is making calculations regarding the lifespan of a machine or explosion safety (ATEX).

Collaboration that connects
You work closely with colleagues from your department and colleagues from other departments within Vicoma. You also maintain contact with the customer. This way you have a clear picture of what the customer wants and what the expectations are. This way we prevent disappointments or miscommunication.
We also work together on your growth. Because there are also technical or regulatory developments in your field. We understand that it is important for you to have up-to-date knowledge. But also to develop yourself and broaden your knowledge. For this we offer you the opportunity to follow courses and training.
