Leave

We enjoy having you around, just not every single day =). We expect you to take responsibility in your work, but also when it comes to taking time off. We know how important it is to truly switch off and recharge. At Vicoma, you can take your leave by the hour. All we ask is that you let us know in advance when you will be away and, most importantly, that you enjoy your time off.

At Vicoma, we work a 38-hour workweek, which comes with 26 vacation days per year. Have you already celebrated your 50th birthday? Then you receive 28 vacation days instead.

In addition, we offer arrangements for maternity leave, parental leave and care leave. You will also receive a day off, for example, when you are moving house.

We believe in the power of flexible working and see it as a valuable way to support our employees in maintaining a healthy work life balance.

You do not have to be behind your laptop at exactly 8:30 a.m. There is no stress if you want to work out first or bring your children to school. We understand that juggling everything can be a challenge. That is why we offer flexible working hours. We provide a guideline, and within that framework you decide when you work. Part time work is also possible.

In short, you are in control, allowing you to maintain an even better balance between your work and private life.

Parental leave

At Vicoma, parents can make use of parental leave. By temporarily reducing your working hours, you have more time to care for your children. In total, you are entitled to parental leave equal to 26 times your weekly working hours. This applies to parents of children up to the age of 8. Since 2 August 2022, parents have also been entitled to paid parental leave during the first year of their child’s life. A new family situation can take some time to adjust to. Taking parental leave gives you the space to find a new rhythm together with your family.

With our flexible terms of employment, you have the opportunity to tailor part of your employment package to match your personal preferences. In addition to your fixed salary, you can choose to have (part of) your budget paid out or to use it as additional leave. You may also spend your budget in a tax efficient way, for example on personal development.

Working from home & home office - terms of employment

Working from home & home office

No commute every now and then. With today’s traffic, that sounds like music to the ears. Many of our colleagues make use of this and work partly from the office and partly from home. Because we believe it is important that our people can also work from home under the right conditions, we support you in setting up your home office. This means you will always have a proper desk, a comfortable chair and the right IT equipment at home.

Laptop & mobile phone - terms of employment

Laptop & mobile phone

At Vicoma, you receive a company laptop and mobile phone. Quite convenient when flexible working is part of how we operate. With a laptop and phone, you are able to work from anywhere and are not tied to a specific location. That said, this does not mean you are expected to be available 24/7. Maintaining a healthy work life balance is something we consider very important.

Holiday allowance - terms of employment

Holiday allowance & December bonus

An occasional extra on top of your salary is always nice. That is why you receive an 8% holiday allowance every year in May. In addition, you also receive an annual bonus in December. This December bonus amounts to an extra 15% of your monthly salary, on top of your regular pay. We also enjoy surprising you with small tokens of appreciation throughout the year.

Learning & development

At Vicoma, we want to keep innovating and therefore actively invest in your development. That way, we grow together. Sharing and exchanging knowledge is essential, as is staying up to date with the latest developments, regulations and standards within our field. That is why we offer everyone the opportunity to follow courses and training programmes.

Pension - terms of employment

Pension

Vicoma offers a pension scheme with Allianz. The investment experts at Allianz invest the pension contributions using lifecycle investment strategies. This also allows you to influence the level of investment risk yourself. You can choose between a defensive, neutral or offensive risk profile. Vicoma pays part of your pension contribution, and you also make a monthly personal contribution.
