What can you expect?

Your role

As a Mechanical Piping Engineer, you work on the design, calculation, and specification of mechanical installations (including piping and pipeline systems), structures, and complete plant layouts within industrial, primarily brownfield projects. You translate process designs into feasible, safe, and efficient solutions, select the appropriate equipment, materials, and supports, and regularly maintain independent contact with the client.

Within projects, you are given the space to independently resolve technical challenges and make well-founded decisions, with the aim of delivering sustainable solutions and “peace of mind” for the client. You work closely with fellow engineers from various disciplines, while operating independently in your field of expertise under the guidance of the team lead or discipline manager.

What will you be doing?

Your responsibilities include, among others:

• Designing and calculating mechanical installations, piping and pipeline systems, structures, and plant layouts based on process design criteria;

• Selecting and specifying equipment, materials, supports, and installation components;

• Developing factory design and routing solutions in coordination with process engineering and the client;

• Verifying designs against applicable standards, guidelines, and regulations;

• Preparing progress, quality, and cost reports;

• Developing and maintaining discipline-specific (mechanical) standards;

• Ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental (HSE) regulations.

• You have gained at least several years of relevant engineering experience.

• Experience with mechanical/piping engineering in an industrial environment.

• You are able to design independently, substantiate your decisions, and coordinate with clients and colleagues.

• You work safely, in a structured manner, and in accordance with applicable standards.

• Good command of Dutch or English, preferably both.

• Affinity with sustainability and innovation within industry.

• Willingness to work (occasionally) at client locations.
