At Vicoma, we are always open to new talent eager to contribute to a future-proof industry.
What to expect
At Vicoma, you will work on impactful projects across various industrial sectors. You will have the opportunity to share your ideas, develop yourself, and collaborate within close-knit, multidisciplinary teams. With locations throughout the Netherlands, we encourage hybrid working and a healthy work-life balance.
As a Detail Engineer Secondary Systems (High Voltage), you design and develop the control and protection systems that are crucial for a reliable electricity grid. Together, we ensure that the Netherlands is ready for the future of energy.
What will you do (among other things)?
Develop secondary installations (control, protection, and automation);
Prepare diagrams, cable lists, terminal schedules, and work packages;
Collaborate closely with colleagues from primary engineering and project management;
Support on-site execution and commissioning.
Candidate profile
We are interested in professionals who identify with our core values:

Job requirements
A completed MBO-level education (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or similar);
Relevant work experience with secondary systems in high-voltage substations;
Knowledge of AutoCAD; experience with ELCAD/EPLAN is a plus;
Affinity with sustainability and innovation within the industry;
Analytical, detail-oriented, and strong communication skills;
And willingness to occasionally work on client sites.
Our experts work daily on the design and development of secondary installations. In this role, knowledge of sites and grid operators is essential. We are constantly looking for smart solutions in control, protection, and automation challenges, bridging the gap between existing (brownfield) and new (greenfield) installations.
This is not standard work. You do this because you genuinely enjoy it, because it sparks your curiosity. And believe me: with an E&I background, this is absolutely something you can learn. Intrinsic motivation and the drive to be part of a team of specialists are what truly make the difference. This is something you choose, something you feel, something you are.
