What can you expect?

Your role

As a Designer Electrical & Instrumentation, you will work within the E&I engineering team in Groningen, developing detailed engineering documents for industrial projects. You translate designs into clear drawings, schematics, and technical documentation, directly contributing to the quality and feasibility of projects.

The work mainly takes place in brownfield environments, with occasional projects in greenfield situations, particularly within the new energy sector. In this role, you will work for clients such as Enexis, Qirion, and Attero.

You will collaborate on projects with engineers, other designers, and colleagues from different disciplines, while also maintaining contact with clients and suppliers.

What will you be doing?

• Capturing E&I designs in drawings, schematics, and technical documentation

• Developing detailed engineering for power, lighting, instrumentation, and control systems

• Performing simple to more complex E&I-related calculations

In addition, you will support projects by:

• Preparing work, hours, and cost specifications under supervision

• Creating basic execution budgets

• Documenting and archiving project documentation

You will also independently carry out site measurements and surveys when required.

• A completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (e.g. in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a comparable field);

• Recent graduate or about to graduate; work experience is not required;

• In possession of a VOL-VCA certificate (or willing to obtain one);

• Good command of the Dutch (C1) and English (B2) language;

• Affinity with sustainability and innovation in the field of electrical & instrumentation within industry;

• Willingness to work (occasionally) at client locations.
