Job description
What are we looking for?
Are you a decisive, customer-focused and knowledgeable professional with a passion for technology and innovation? At Vicoma, we are always open to new talent who want to contribute to a future-proof industry.
Do you want to work on complex industrial challenges?
At Vicoma, you get this opportunity within an organization where craftsmanship, flexibility, and a warm, collegial culture are central. You work alongside colleagues who know the profession inside and out; many have been with the company for years, meaning there is a wealth of knowledge and experience you benefit from every day. At Vicoma, professionals are given the space to take responsibility and work together on solutions that truly make an impact.
What can you expect?

Your role
As an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer, you work on the design, development, and verification of electrical installations and instrumentation within industrial, primarily brownfield projects. You translate existing situations and process design criteria into safe, feasible, and pragmatic E&I solutions. In doing so, you independently manage smaller projects, answer questions from clients and colleagues, and safeguard quality, progress, and technical feasibility.
You work on installations in sectors including heavy industry, water treatment, tank terminals, and refineries, where modifications, sustainability improvements, and optimization are central.
Within projects, you are given the space to substantiate your own decisions, resolve technical challenges, and take responsibility for your own scope, under the guidance of a senior engineer, discipline lead, or project manager.
Depending on the size of the project, you work either mono-disciplinarily or in multidisciplinary teams together with other engineers, project managers, and clients. The work is primarily office-based, with flexibility for remote work (approximately 80/20), supplemented by meetings or site visits when required by the project.
What will you be doing?
Your responsibilities include, among others:
Designing and engineering electrical installations, distribution systems, and instrumentation based on project and process information;
Preparing FEED, Basic, and Detail engineering packages;
Developing cable schedules and block diagrams, distribution boards, and associated components;
Performing and verifying cable calculations, specifications, and revisions;
Preparing and verifying as-built documentation and quality checks;
Advising on control systems, energy consumption, and practical feasibility;
Coordinating with fellow engineers, project management, suppliers, and clients;
Identifying risks, field hazards, and deviations from standards and design criteria.
