What can you expect?

Your role

As an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer, you design, calculate, and specify electrical and instrumentation installations within industrial projects. You work on technically complex challenges and take responsibility for quality, progress, and coordination within projects.

You are part of the E&I engineering team in Groningen and primarily work on brownfield projects, complemented by occasional greenfield projects within the new energy sector. In this role, you work for clients such as Enexis, Qirion, and Attero.

Within multidisciplinary project teams, you collaborate closely with fellow engineers, project managers, clients, and suppliers.

What will you be doing?

Your responsibilities include, among others:

• Designing and developing E&I installations (power, lighting, instrumentation, and control systems);

• Preparing technical specifications, calculations, and design verifications;

• Advising on complex technical E&I-related issues;

• Reviewing your own work and that of colleagues;

• Contributing to HAZOP studies (project-dependent).

In addition:

• You collaborate within multidisciplinary project teams;

• You coordinate with clients and suppliers.

You are also involved in reporting and quality assurance by:

• Preparing progress, quality, and cost reports;

• Safeguarding technical quality and compliance with standards;

• Developing and maintaining discipline-specific E&I standards.

• A completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (e.g. in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a comparable field);

• At least 3 years of relevant E&I engineering experience;

• Knowledge of AutoCAD; experience with ELCAD/EPLAN is an advantage;

• In possession of a VOL-VCA certificate (or willing to obtain one);

• Good command of the Dutch language (C1) and English (B2);

• Affinity with sustainability and innovation within industry;

• Willingness to work (occasionally) at client locations.
