What can you expect?

Your role

As a financial controller, you are a trusted business partner to the Managing Director, executive leadership, and management team. You ensure the availability of accurate and reliable financial information, safeguard the organization's financial health, and play an active role in improving financial processes and management reporting.

In this broad and dynamic role, you are responsible for the planning and control cycle, financial reporting, and financial analysis. In addition, you identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the continued professionalization and development of the finance function.

What will you be doing?

• Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports;

• Coordinate and manage the month-end and year-end closing processes;

• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections;

• Monitor and analyze project performance, work in progress (WIP), and profit margins;

• Consolidate the financial results of the various entities within Vicoma;

• Identify financial variances and advise management and the executive team on financial risks and opportunities;

• Drive the optimization of financial processes, internal controls, and reporting;

• Prepare for and support internal and external audits;

• Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and other external stakeholders;

• Develop and enhance management reporting and dashboards, including the use of Power BI;

• Contribute actively to the ongoing digitalization and professionalization of the Finance department;

• Collaborate closely with colleagues in Finance, HR, and the project teams to provide effective financial support across the organization.

What do you bring with you?

• A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Business Economics or a related field;

• A minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar finance role;

• Excellent command of Dutch (C1) and a good command of English (B2), both written and spoken;

• Proven experience in preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts;

• Experience with month-end and year-end closing processes, as well as coordinating and supporting external audits;

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP systems; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Power BI is considered an advantage.
