  • €3,200 - €4,200 per month

Job description

What are we looking for?

Have you recently graduated and are you ready to develop your technical knowledge within the process industry? Are you accurate, analytical and interested in organising and understanding technical challenges? This position offers a strong start to your career as a Process Engineer.

Do you want to work on complex industrial challenges?

At Vicoma, you get this opportunity within an organization where craftsmanship, flexibility, and a warm, collegial culture are central. You work alongside colleagues who know the profession inside and out; many have been with the company for years, meaning there is a wealth of knowledge and experience you benefit from every day. At Vicoma, professionals are given the space to take responsibility and work together on solutions that truly make an impact.

What can you expect?

Your role

As a Junior Process Engineer, you will join our Process department in Rotterdam. You will start with structured, well-supervised activities that allow you to build a solid technical foundation. An important part of your role is supporting HAZOP studies as a member of the facilitation team. You will help prepare sessions, accurately record information and actions, and learn how process risks are systematically discussed and documented.

You will also contribute to projects within the Process department and gradually develop into an independent Process Engineer. You will receive the training and guidance required from experienced colleagues. As your knowledge grows, you will be given more freedom and responsibility within projects.

Developing expertise in process engineering takes time. We are therefore looking for someone who combines ambition with patience, curiosity and a willingness to master the fundamentals first. You will mainly work with the HAZOP team and the wider Process department. The atmosphere is friendly and focused on collaboration, learning and clear communication.

What will you be doing?

  • Supporting HAZOP studies as part of the facilitation team

  • Preparing HAZOP sessions from both an organisational and content perspective

  • Accurately processing and maintaining technical information, minutes, action lists and project documentation

  • Contributing to project activities within the Process department

  • Analysing technical questions and learning to approach them in a structured way

  • Contributing to accurate administration and process improvements

  • Collaborating and coordinating with process engineers, HAZOP colleagues and other project stakeholders

  • Using Microsoft Office and various engineering applications

  • Organising your work, aligning priorities and asking questions promptly when something is unclear
