As a Civil Engineer (Concrete), you work on the design, calculation, and specification of civil structures with a strong focus on concrete. You are a specialist in your field and translate functional requirements and design principles into safe, sustainable, and technically feasible structural solutions within industrial projects.

You collaborate with engineers from other disciplines (process, mechanical, E&I) and maintain contact with clients and suppliers. Within projects, you work independently under the guidance of the team leader or discipline manager.

What will you do (among other things)?

• Designing and calculating civil and structural concrete structures;

• Developing structural designs for foundations, concrete structures, and civil works;

• Advising on civil and structural engineering challenges;

• Verifying designs against applicable legislation and standards (including Eurocodes);

• Preparing and performing design verifications;

• Preparing progress, quality, and cost reports;

• Developing and maintaining discipline-specific (civil/structural) standards;

• Ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental (SHE/HSE) regulations.

Candidate profile

We are interested in professionals who identify with our core values:

• A completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or similar);

• Relevant work experience as a civil engineer is a plus;

• In possession of a VCA VOL certificate (or willing to obtain one);

• Good command of the Dutch and English language;

• Knowledge of concrete structures and applicable standards and guidelines (including Eurocodes);

• Affinity with sustainability and innovation within an industrial environment;

• Willingness to work occasionally at client locations.
