Civil & Structural Engineer at Vicoma
The Civil & Structural department focuses on testing the customer’s ideas for feasibility and provides the designs, calculations and drawings. You provide advice in your field and create 3D models, 2D drawings and produce various reports. What exactly your role is also depends on your experience. For example, you can also work on preparing quotations, applying for permits, making budgets for implementation or supervising the construction site. What are the employment conditions for a Civil or Structural Engineer?
Vicoma offers an extensive package of employment conditions. For example, with full-time employment you get 35 days off, 22 vacation days and 13 days off. Can I also work from home as a Civil or Structural Engineer?
Yes, at Vicoma we work hybrid and flexible. The guideline is that with full-time employment you work from home for a maximum of 2 days. To make this possible, you will receive a company laptop and telephone. We also think it is important that you can properly set up your home workplace. That is why we facilitate this with the necessary resources, such as a desk, office chair, screen (including USB-C docking station), keyboard and computer mouse.
What training do I need as a Civil or Structural Engineer?
To work as a Structural Engineer at Vicoma you need at least HBO working and thinking level. And a training in Architecture or Civil Engineering, WTB, possibly supplemented with an HTI diploma in concrete and/or steel.
Can I grow as a Civil or Structural Engineer?
Absolute. You can grow in a technical field, but you can also grow in the direction of Project Management or as a manager. It just depends on where your ambition lies.
