As an Engineer Mechanical & Factory Design, you work on the design, calculation, and specification of mechanical installations, structures, and complete factory layouts within industrial projects. You are a specialist in your field and translate functional requirements into manufacturable, safe, and efficient designs.

You work closely with engineers from various disciplines (process, E&I, civil) and regularly interact with clients and suppliers. Within projects, you work independently under the guidance of the team leader or discipline manager.

What will you do (among other things)?

• Designing and calculating mechanical installations, structures, and factory layouts;

• Developing factory design solutions (layout, routing, and equipment arrangement);

• Preparing specifications for equipment, steel structures, and installation components;

• Verifying designs against applicable standards, guidelines, and regulations;

• Preparing progress, quality, and cost reports;

• Developing and maintaining discipline-specific (mechanical) standards;

• Ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental (SHE/HSE) regulations.

Candidate profile

We are interested in professionals who identify with our core values:

• A completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Mechanical Engineering or similar);

• Relevant work experience in engineering is a plus;

• In possession of a VCA VOL certificate (or willing to obtain one);

• Knowledge of applicable standards, guidelines, and industrial norms;

• Good command of both the Dutch and English language;

• Affinity with sustainability and innovation within an industrial environment;

• Willingness to work occasionally at client locations.
