Project Manager

    • Vicoma Rotterdam
  • €5,146.85 - €7,548.71 per month

Job description

What are we looking for?

Are you a decisive, customer-focused and knowledgeable professional with a passion for technology and innovation? At Vicoma, we are always open to new talent who want to contribute to a future-proof industry.

Do you want to work on complex industrial challenges?

At Vicoma, you get this opportunity within an organization where craftsmanship, flexibility, and a warm, collegial culture are central. You work alongside colleagues who know the profession inside and out; many have been with the company for years, meaning there is a wealth of knowledge and experience you benefit from every day. At Vicoma, professionals are given the space to take responsibility and work together on solutions that truly make an impact.

What can you expect?

Your role

As a Project Manager, you will be ultimately responsible for the successful delivery of multidisciplinary engineering projects within the industrial sector. You will manage projects with budgets of up to approximately €3 million for clients in industries such as (petro)chemicals, tank terminals, and energy.

You will maintain overall project control, lead multidisciplinary project teams, and act as the primary point of contact for the client. We are not looking for a career project manager with only management experience, but for a professional with an engineering background who has progressed into project leadership or project management.

At Vicoma, you will have the freedom to manage projects independently. Decision-making lines are short, responsibility is substantial, and you will remain closely involved in the technical aspects of your projects.

What will you be doing?

  • Lead multidisciplinary engineering projects from the initial project acquisition phase through to successful completion.

  • Take overall responsibility for project planning, budget, progress, quality, and delivery.

  • Provide functional leadership to Lead Engineers and multidisciplinary project teams.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and represent Vicoma throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks, changes, and opportunities.

  • Deliver both brownfield and greenfield projects within complex industrial environments.

What do our Vicomezen say about Vicoma?

What do you bring with you?

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing industrial engineering projects in a project-responsible role.

  • An engineering background combined with experience in project leadership or project management.

  • Proven experience delivering multidisciplinary projects within an industrial environment.

  • Affinity with EPCm projects and industrial engineering processes.

  • Excellent command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written.

Curious to find out what Vicoma has to offer you?

At Vicoma, it’s about more than just technical designs. You are given plenty of room to grow, both professionally and personally. You will work alongside experienced engineers in close-knit teams where knowledge sharing and learning together come naturally, and where taking initiative is truly valued.

And because work isn’t everything, we also make sure the basics are right: attractive employment conditions, attention to a healthy work–life balance, and additional benefits that contribute to your job satisfaction.

  • A starting salary ranging from €5,146.85 to €6,862.46 gross per month, based on a 38-hour working week. The salary scale for this position extends to a maximum of €7,548.71 gross per month.

  • In addition to your fixed salary, you can choose to have (part of) your flexible benefits budget paid out or convert it into additional leave.

  • Holiday allowance and year-end bonus. You will receive 8% holiday allowance every May, plus a December bonus of 15% of your monthly salary.

  • We value your health and wellbeing. Fresh fruit is available at every office, and you can use your WKR (Work-Related Costs Scheme) budget towards a gym membership or a healthy HelloFresh meal subscription.

  • A full-time position at Vicoma is 38 hours per week, with 26 vacation days per year. If you are 50 years of age or older, you will receive 28 vacation days.

  • Flexible working hours. We provide a guideline, but within that framework you decide when you work. Part-time employment is also possible, giving you greater control over your work-life balance.

  • A hybrid working environment, with the flexibility to work both from home and the office. We also provide the equipment needed for a comfortable home office.

  • A company laptop and mobile phone, because we believe flexible working should be properly supported.

  • Excellent opportunities for professional development through a wide range of training courses and educational programmes.

We also care about your health! At every location, fresh fruit is available for you, and you can use the WKR for your gym membership or for healthy, fresh meal boxes from HelloFresh 🍏🥝🍓
