As Senior Structural Engineer (Steel & Concrete), you have the lead in structural projects and work together with modellers and structural engineers or in multidisciplinary teams. As Senior Structural Engineer, you are responsible for the structural elaboration of projects for various clients in industry and utility construction. You identify and advise on the scope of projects and then, together with your colleagues, ensure that we deliver what we promise.
Some of your duties
Your work within projects consists of designing (complex) steel and concrete structures. This also includes drafting, assessing and checking reports, calculations and drawings. In addition, you supervise structural engineers and modellers and act as an internal source of information on structural issues. As Senior Structural Engineer, you will be involved in requests and tenders and thus share responsibility for the engineering budget and planning. Performing technical inspections on the building site will also be part of your duties.
What are you bringing?
- You have at least an HBO diploma in Construction / Civil Engineering, possibly supplemented with an HTI diploma in concrete and/or steel
- At least ten years of experience as an engineer in industry and non-residential construction
- Good constructive, mechanical and (especially) practical insight
- Making design, main and detailed calculations (also using calculation software) is tailor-made for you
- Extensive experience in checking calculations and drawings. In addition, you have frequently drawn up technical reports
- National and international regulations hold no secrets for you
- You master the necessary design and calculation software within the field (Scia Engineer is a must, Technosoft is an advantage)
- Good command of both the Dutch and English language, spoken and written
